What causes drenching night sweats? (Non-menopause related)?
I have been experiencing night sweats for SO LONG and I can’t figure out why. I’m only 23, so I’ve ruled out the menopause option. The only medication I’ve been consistently taking over the years is Zoloft, and I’m almost down at the lowest dose (which means side effects are really rare). Is there something else that can cause night sweats? It happens to me all the time.. in the summer and winter, whether I’m wearing thermal pajamas or just my underwear. I hate waking up soaking wet for no apparent reason!
Well, there are a # of possibilities. I am no Doctor but I have suffered from night sweats too. Outside of the menopause vein here are some more common causes of night sweats:
many infections including TB can cause NS
Inflammation of heart valves, appendicitis, tonsillitis, HIV or Aid;
Low Blood Sugar can definitely cause them, thyroid problems
certain types of cancer such as lymphona
Cortisone and Vitamin B
Viagra and certain kinds of blood medications can cause them as well
And last but not least maybe your room temperature is too high.
It is a difficult problem. I have gone to a Holistic Approach and the results have been amzing.
